HYDE PARK, N.Y., Sept. 9, 2026 — Hyde Park Town Supervisor Al Torreggiani, who is running for re-election, will host two campaign community events offering residents opportunities to meet Al and candidates running for election, ask questions and discuss issues affecting Hyde Park and its future.
Both events are free and open to all. No advance registration is required, and walk-in attendance is welcome.
The first, “Meet the Candidates,” will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Eveready Diner, 4184 Albany Post Road/Route 9, Hyde Park.
The informal community gathering will feature Torreggiani; Town Board candidates Julie Pizzarelli, Ward 3, and Jim Sheedy, Ward 4; and Dutchess County Legislature candidate for re-election Lew Darrow.
A second event, “Tacos with Torreggiani,” will be held Thursday, Oct. 22, at 5:30 p.m. at La Catrina Mexican Restaurant, 4076 Albany Post Road/Route 9, Hyde Park.
The casual gathering will give residents an opportunity to meet Al and discuss Hyde Park, including current community issues and priorities for the future. Each attendee will receive a free drink and can enjoy a free buffet dinner featuring tacos and other Mexican specialties. The event also will serve as a campaign fundraiser for those who choose to support Torreggiani’s re-election campaign.
The general election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. Early voting will run from Saturday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 1.
